DJ DOUBLE J

DJ Double J, real name Jan Janečka, has been performing regularly in Prague clubs (Bordo, Radost FX, Punto Azul, Jet Set, Backdoor) since 2001. His domain is r´n´b, hip hop and even edgier grime.

In the beginning he played mostly UK garage, then he started to focus more on crunk and dirty south in his sets. He is a member of the Platinum Soul DJ crew, whose parties are among the best in the country. Since 2001 he has also been running the website ukgarage.cz, which constantly informs about the latest news, especially in British urban music. Since the very beginning he has been a member of the editorial team of the urban magazine Street and writes for the boombap.cz website.

He was at the birth of the legendary Czech grime pioneers ISCream Boyz, as a DJ he has toured with Vladimir 518 and Hugo Toxxx. With his DJ colleague Orion he regularly organizes e.g. the successful rap party Back 2 The Old School. Since 2006, he has also hosted the oldest rap show in the Czech Republic - Soundbomb on Prague's Radio 1. In recent years, he has also been working on the popular podcast “V Rapu”, which he co-hosts with Milan Bartoušek.
