Emily Burns is a British singer and songwriter. She was born on 22 September 1994 in Livingston, Scotland, but grew up in England. Her musical style is influenced by artists such as Tove Lo, Kehlani, Sigrid and Banks.

In 2010 she entered the Live and Unsigned competition, reached the final and performed at the "Indig02" entertainment complex. She was subsequently invited to Abbey Road Studios where in-house producer Rob Cass arranged for her to work with Cave Productions, leading to the release of the single "Plasters, Glitter and Glue".

She has performed at many festivals including a tour in the Czech Republic and appeared on two different stages at the Secret Garden Party. She also had a slot on the BBC opening stage at the "T in the Park" festival in July 2013. Following this performance, the BBC radio station included the single "Plasters, Glitter and Glue" on their playlist. Emily has also been featured on SB.TV and the YT channel Mahogany Sessions. In 2014 she started working as a receptionist at Abbey Road Studios, where she met the producer of Sound of Fractures. He helped her produce her first lead single "Take It or Leave It", which was released in November 2016.

She then performed at the BBC Radio 1 "Big Weekend" music event in Middlesbrough in 2019.

Burns signed to record label 37 Adventures in July 2017 and released her first single "Bitch", followed by her second single "Girlfriend at the Time" in January 2018. Emily then put out her first EP, "Seven Scenes from the Same Summer" in March. July 2018 was marked by two four-track EPs, "My Town" and "PDA". In July 2020, she dropped her third EP, "I Love You, You're The Worst", and in October she did a six-date UK tour.
