MARJARI

South Bohemian singer-songwriter and guitarist Marjari[maržari] alias Martina Činátlová comes from České Budějovice.

She released her first EP Let's Ride on September 21st 2021, which she followed up this year with her debut full-length album Hey Girl. The album was released under the Dayspeed Music label.

It features a new two-piece band that brings in new sounds than what we know from the singer's previous work. On Hey Girl, as on her previous songs, the artist draws on her personal experiences, feelings and moods. Marjari performs live with a backing band, which adds dynamism to the whole concert. The band consists of Vlastimil Nohejl (bass) and Ondrej Škoch (drums). With a song from the current album, they competed in this year's hit parade of undiscovered Starters and became a big discovery on the indie scene for mono listeners. She opened for Canadian band Tallies and her track appeared in a dance performance at Prague's Ponec Theatre.
