MARTIN GREDNER

Martin Gredner, as his name really is, first got into electronic dance music in his hometown of Ostrava in 1997, when he started mixing vocal house in the former Ostrava club People. He first learned on CD players and later on turntables. At that time, he was most attracted to the productions of Little Loui Vega, Satoshi Tomiie, Roger Sanchez and the likes. Over the years, he has continuously tried to improve his technique and overall expression of mixing.

In 1999 he launched the first regular house parties in Stodolní Street in the legendary Ostrava club Bar, which became famous and successfully operated for almost 4 years. Martin also got the opportunity to mix the official compilation "Stodolní CZ", which was released on the official Next Era distribution. In 2000 he accepted an offer to work with Fabric club, where he started his first party and also became a resident for an incredible 16 years. It was there that he got the opportunity to develop his skills, make new contacts and gain new experiences. He was also a resident at clubs Roxy and Karlovy Lázně.

In the first year of his residency, he performed with the house project Mocca, a year later he went solo. The change in his attitude towards house music and the discovery of new mixing techniques led him to do so. It is mainly progressive house, which he claims is the best possible combination of all dance styles. In his dynamic and emotional sets, you will also hear vocals which are an essential part of dance music for him. Martin is very particular about the technique of his mixes.

Another key part of his performance is communication with the audience. He always tries to establish a kind of "bridge" with them, as he considers mutual communication extremely important. He also has experience as a radio presenter – he has been involved in the dance show Kissmania for more than 2 years, he has worked with Helax radio and you can currently tune in to Fresh FM.

Martin's specialty is the uniqueness of his sets, as he always likes to surprise with the very latest progressive news. Martin's current sound can be described as progressive house/trance. Martin also got the opportunity to perform for 2,000 party people and record an interview as part of the Club Rotation show for TV VIVA Poland. Martin took 4th place in the Czech Dance Awards 2004. He also performed for the third time at London's legendary top club Ministry of Sound as part of "The Gallery" night. It is also worth mentioning his performances in prestigious Chinese clubs G Plus and Russian beach club Fakel. Several times he was in the top 10 of the DJ of the Year poll and appeared on TV Óčko as part of the Frisbee show.

In 25 years of DJing he has been one of the long-term stalwarts in promoting the progressive scene. He has confirmed his skills and qualities by supporting personalities such as Hardwell, Markus Schulz, W&W, Paul van Dyk, Ummet Ozcan, Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Jerome Isma, Laurent Garnier, Ferry Corsten, James Zabiela, Arty and many other stars of the world scene.

Martin performs at leading outdoor & indoor parties and clubs not only in the Czech Republic (Mácháč, Beats 4 Love, Creamfields, Summer of Love, Transmission, Pleasure Island, Roxy, Fabric, Mecca, Fléda, 7.nebe).

Even nowadays he represents the Czech Republic abroad – regular performances in Poland or

Slovak clubs meet with long-term success.
