MIDI LIDI & DAVID ŽBIRKA

Midi Lidi, big fans of synthesizers and the top of the local underground electro scene, will present at Metronome Prague 2023 a continuation of the concert programme of songs by Miro Zbirka called Midi Lidi  &  David Žbirka -  NEMODERNÝ CHLAPEC Z ULICE POZNANIA, for which the band has created a completely new visual concept. The band’s concert carries a special symbolism - it was at the Prague Exhibition Centre, during a tribute performance to Ivan Kral, that this Slovak musical icon performed for the last time.

Band Midi Lidi was founded in 2006, when like the mythical Phoenix bird, the group rose from the ashes of the musical group Krásný Stěhovák Gerard & Sexuální nábytek and a year later released the album “Čekání na robota", which was nominated for the 2007 Anděl Awards.

The band, which impresses with both its music and unusual lyrics, has overlaps into film music. For the soundtrack of the film "Protector" the band received the Czech Lion Movie Award.
