SATÉNOVÉ RUKY

Saténové ruky is a Slovak rock band, formed in the spring of 2011. In Bratislava's Nu Spirit bar, moderator and DJ Braňo Bezák, poet Vlado Janček and biochemist Marek Babušiak (Kasko) met and decided to start a band. After the first rehearsals in the apartment, the band moved to the Nu Spirit club, where they played their first concert at the end of 2011. They describe their work as a fusion of post-chanson and primitive rock.

The second concert took place on November 11, 2011 in the club U Očka. It is from this performance that their first live recordings come from. The band was later joined by drummer Martin Turčan (Toni Granko). The first single was released on 22 February 2012 and was called "Príbor". Six months later they released their second single "Po anglicky", which is heavily influenced by the British guitar scene. An interesting refreshment behind the drums was Matúš Homola, a Trenčín drummer and member of the project "The Autumnist".

At the end of 2012 Toni Granko left the band and his position was taken by Jozef Lipa. The release of the single "Fúzy" in June 2013 was followed by the debut album "Bozkávam" released in May 2015 on the go2stage label. The album won two awards, for debut of the year and album of the year.

In July 2017, the release of the second album entitled "Tretí album" followed, again on go2stage. At the end of the same year, the band became visible with the Christmas punk song "Tvrdý darček". Before the pandemic they managed to release the summer song "37°C". Their third and most recent album "LOM" was released in May 2021 on Pavian Records to positive acclaim.
